Now I'll talk to you about downloading the data from your Sera™ newborn hearing screening device to the PC.
When you're conducting your newborn screening, all the tests will be saved here on your Sera™ device.
To clear the data from the device, you'll need to download it to the PC, to the HearSIM™ database.
The device can store up to 250 patients with 50 tests per patient.
So we do recommend that you download the data at the end of each day.
And that also ensures that it's safely stored somewhere.
To download the patients and tests on the device, you must have the HearSIM™ database software installed on an accessible PC.
Connect the USB cable to both the Sera™ and the PC.
Ensure that the Sera™ is switched on and on the home screen.
If you're not on the home screen, the device won't connect properly to the database.
Launch the HearSIM™ software and you will see a small Sera™ device icon wiggling at the bottom of the screen.
Click on the device and click 'Import'.
All the tests from the device will be imported to the HearSIM™ database.
You will be advised when they have been transferred successfully and you can now press close.
Now all the patient data from the device has been transferred to your database.
The device is now empty and ready for more testing.
