Description: This eWorkshop will provide discussion of the implementation and processes of the Audible Contrast Threshold test, explore how the assessment might fit into a hearing professional’s clinical flow and discuss the applications of the test and its outcomes for non-routine cases. We will discuss the challenges clinicians may face in the implementation of the ACT test and draw on the knowledge and experience of clinicians to provide guidance on how to optimize the utility of the test in daily practice. We will explore case studies and challenge attendees to use evidence-based strategies to inform clinical decision making in these cases.
Learning objectives:
• Describe the process of performing and implementing the Audible Contrast Threshold test into the assessment of non-routine cases.
• Explain how the Audible Contrast Threshold test can be integrated into a clinical workflow.
• Evaluate how ACT values can be implemented clinically to influence counselling and hearing aid programming.
