This session will explore aided cortical testing and the challenges facing clinicians performing this test. Suggestions, ideas, tips and tricks will be proposed to facilitate the integration of this test within the clinical workflow and obtaining accurate results. The clinical implementation of technological advances designed to improve the test technique will be demonstrated through case studies and clinicians’ reported experiences.

Learning objectives:

• Identify the challenges facing clinicians when performing aided cortical testing in the infant population
• Describe the best practices in preparing for aided cortical testing, performing the test and managing the results obtained
• Describe how to implement the technological advances in aided cortical testing in order to facilitate the acquisition of accurate results
