Interacoustics is excited to announce the introduction of the Equinox Evo and Touch Keyboard, which is a game-changing audiometric solution for any audiometry setup.
The Interacoustics Equinox Evo is a clinical PC-based audiometer that integrates an intuitive, touch-operated keyboard with dials and buttons. Together, they offer the simplicity and functionality needed for testing patients of all ages and clinical needs.
The Equinox Evo is flexible in use and designed to grow with the clinical needs of hospitals and clinics. It offers a comprehensive test battery, including advanced tests such as the Audible Contrast Threshold (ACT™) test and up to four-speaker free field testing.
The Touch Keyboard is an innovative development that features the ergonomics of a standalone audiometer and the benefits of PC-based audiometry. The keyboard displays the test screens of the Equinox Evo suite which makes testing and managing patients at the same time easy.
Lillian Nielsen, MSc Audiology and Senior Product Manager says:
“Clinicians today see many different patients with different hearing challenges. For the clinician, the patient is always their priority, but it can be difficult to stay focused on your patient when you are juggling multiple tests, requirements, and clinical setups. With our new audiometry solution, we believe that we will help overcome some of these challenges. Equinox Evo is flexible in use, offers multiple tests, and the innovative, smooth Touch Keyboard makes the test workflow easy.”
Equinox Evo offers a dedicated pediatric module. The Touch Keyboard can be used wirelessly which allows the clinician to bring the keyboard close to the child when performing hearing tests; from visual reinforcement audiometry (VRA) and play audiometry all the way to pure tone audiometry.
The dedicated keyboard test screen for pediatric assessments provides full control over the output levels of the channels, frequency changes, and the visual reinforcers. This simplifies the testing workflow and reduces the need for multitasking, ensuring that clinicians can fully engage with – and focus on – their patient.
The solution also features a range of stimuli, including the Ling-6 and ManU-IRU frequency-filtered sounds.
In combination, the Equinox Evo and Touch Keyboard are a superior solution that will support all clinicians at hospitals and clinics in their daily work with patients of all ages and needs.
