Interacoustics wins 2026 Innovator Award for VisualEyes™ 525

We’re proud to share that Interacoustics has been recognized in the 2026 Hearing Technology Innovator Awards™, winning in the Balance category for ‘VisualEyes™ 525 VNG with Accompanying Cervical Tests’.
The cervical gaze tests expand the capabilities of VisualEyes™ 525 by allowing clinicians to evaluate eye movements with the head and body in different positions. This can help determine whether the neck may be contributing to abnormal eye movements and provide additional information as part of the assessment of patients with dizziness and balance disorders.
Beyond traditional VNG
The cervical position tests support the mission to go beyond traditional VNG and evaluate the whole patient. Patients with dizziness are typically multifactorial, so considerations of all possible contributors to a patient’s symptoms help ensure a comprehensive and complete diagnosis.
The tests include the Center Body Left and Center Body Right positions and use the VORTEQ™ sensor to guide head and body positioning during testing. Dr. Liz Fuemmeler, Au.D., Clinical Product Manager with Interacoustics Balance says:
“This achievement is a reflection of the dedication, expertise, and passion of the teams across Interacoustics who continue to innovate in balance assessment and patient care.”
The Hearing Technology Innovator Awards™, organized by Hearing Health & Technology Matters (HHTM), recognize technologies, products, and services advancing hearing care around the world. The 2026 awards marked the seventh year of the program.
Second time in a row
Last year, Interacoustics won the same award in the Balance category for the new VORTEQ Functional Assessments package, geared toward rehabilitation professions interested in performing dynamic head movement tests (Dynamic Visual Acuity, Gaze Stabilization and Functional Vision Head Impulse Tests) without video goggles.
Both recognitions reflect our continued commitment to developing research-based solutions that support clinicians in the assessment and management of balance disorders. That's what ‘Science made smarter’ is all about.
