This is an introduction to the Aided Cortical module in the Eclipse software.

The Aided Cortical module lets you validate hearing instrument fitting in infants and in patients with complex needs.

Access the aided cortical protocols from the dropdown menu on the left.

There are three default aided cortical protocols available, each using its own stimuli.

One protocol uses the Manu-IRU stimuli.

Another uses HD sounds and the third uses the Ling 6 sounds.

The stimuli found in each of these protocols allows for stimulation of the low, mid, and high frequencies that are important for speech.

Here you see the test screen.

On the left side of the test screen is an indicator letting you choose which condition to start testing.

The waveform will be shown in the corresponding color.

Three intensities are initially available, and you still have the option to add more intensities if needed.

Do this by accessing the temporary protocol setup in the top menu.

We recommend that you run the ‘Sound field analysis’ before each aided cortical test you perform to compensate for any changes in the room that may affect the stimulus level.

When you are done testing and you wish to review the results, a report is available to assess the quality of each waveform.

To access the report, press the ‘Report’ tab.

Here you can assess the quality of each waveform and see if a response is labeled as absent, inconclusive, or present.

The detector value, residual noise value and any comments are also displayed.
