Description

In this course, adapted from an eWorkshop, Dr Kamran Barin, Ph.D., will present a series of vestibular assessment cases studies in order to explore how to select and develop the most appropriate assessment protocol and test battery. This is an interactive event where you will be asked to interact and make decisions based on scenarios and examples which are shown to you.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify which vestibular test is the most appropriate first test based on the patient history
  • Determine if any other tests are needed to differentiate among different diagnoses
  • Determine the best management options based on the patient’s test findings

Dr. Kamran Barin
Kamran Barin, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor Emeritus, Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Department of Speech & Hearing Science, The Ohio State University. He established and served as the Director of the Balance Disorders Clinic at the Ohio State University Medical Center for over 25 years until his retirement in June 2011. He received his master’s and doctorate degrees in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering from the Ohio State University. He has published over 80 articles and book chapters and has taught national and international courses and seminars in different areas of vestibular assessment and rehabilitation.
